WELCOME TO MID DEVON INDOOR BOWLS CLUB!

About Our Club

Mid Devon Indoor Bowls Club offers a warm welcome to bowlers of all abilities, both those who wish to play competitively or who simply enjoy the facilities for a social game.   We have arguably one of the best indoor bowling greens in the South West, and regularly host key County and National competitions.

The club offers a full range of friendly fixtures, leagues and tournaments, together with National, County and Club competitions.

Beginners and experienced bowlers are equally welcome.   Coaching sessions by qualified instructors are available.  New bowlers are entitled to three free coaching sessions, after which rink fees are payable. 

The club holds regular social events including bingo, whist,  The lounge and bar are open to the public and non-members are welcome to come during opening hours to have a drink/chat/watch the bowling.

Facilities

  • Fully licensed lounge bar offering tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks, available during opening hours.
  • Separate ladies and gents changing rooms and toilets
  • Full disabled access and disabled toilet

  • Free parking
  • Defibrillator
  • Small private meeting room for up to 12 people
  • Our facilities are available for hire, please enquire at reception.

Opening hours

The club office is open from 9am to 3pm Mon-Fri during the winter season (October-March), and 9am to 1pm Mon-Thurs during the summer season (April-September).  It can also be open at weekends and evenings when there are fixtures arranged, or otherwise by arrangement with one of our key holders.

Fees

Annual Membership Fees:

Adult                                                                          £80.00

Adult Novice                                                             £35.00

Under 18 years of age                                             £15.00

Associate member                                                  £10.00

Membership Runs From 1st September – 31st August.

Rink fees are £3 to £4 for members depending on match type.

Rink fees for non-members £5 for 2 hours

Hire of Equipment:

Hire of Bowls                       £1.00                  Hire of shoes                   £0.25

Approved footwear must be worn at all times on the rink and must not be worn outside the building.
